THE USE OF WEBSITES IN THE LOCAL COUNCILS OF SANTA CATARINA FOR THE PRACTICE OF TRANSPARENCY

Resumo


Citizens can access information generated by government from the moment that public branches promote a clear and objective disclosure of the acts done. Thus, the goal of this article is to investigate the use of websites in the Local Councils of Santa Catarina for the practice of transparency. To do so, the websites of Local Councils located in municipalities with populations over 50,000 were investigated. It is understood that these municipalities are the target of a greater number of "inspectors" of public actions and, as a consequence, local councils have a greater need for transparency in their actions. Out of all websites analyzed, 54.17% have a high level of transparency, 25% have a medium level of transparency and 20.83% have low level. It was noticed that the majority of the Local Councils are developing initiatives to build the transparency process through websites
