Resumo
Information Technology (IT) has transformed society substantially. Electronic Government extends the reach of the State, while it enhances the role of the citizen. Notwithstanding the possibilities that IT brings to the Federal Government, it must overcome one obstacle: translate investments and decisions into effective outcomes for all citizens. IT Governance guides and controls present and future of technology in order to ensure cohesion between corporate and IT strategies, in addition to compliance. The Decree 6.932/2009 seeks to streamline the public service provided for citizens, determine the Service Catalog, among other statements. In this context, the objective of this study is to investigate the possible implications of the Decree 6.932/2009 for IT Governance in the Federal Public Administration. In relation to Federal Government the implications represent and demand an efficient IT organization and for citizens they mean the delivery of superior services
