Resumo


Currently, the IT assets are available for each organization with enough resources to invest, however, it’s not simple neither sophisticated IT applications that will create a competitive sustainable advantage. The advantage is obtained through the capacity of the organization to explore the functionalities of IT continuously. The IT products can be proceeding from the IT internal department of the organization, or result of outsourcing. This study has tried to identify the market behavior regarding outsourcing for information systems, through a business case carried on with Computer Associates. Starting from a result analysis, where have been considered the motivation, objectives, risks and benefits perceived with the adoption of outsourcing by the customers of the supplying company, the main point is the cost reduction and the quality of the services realized. Moreover, it’s strongly characterized the concept of strategic alliance in the outsourcing process.
